Karlovy Vary
The spa town of Karlovy Vary, located deep in the valley of the river Tepla in the western part of Bohemia. It is undoubtedly the largest and the most prominent spa city of the Czech Republic. It is famous mainly for its 12 thermal springs, which marked the history, architecture, economy and the whole spirit of the city. The foundation of this architectural germ of the Czech cities dates back to the period round 1349. The spa colonnades are surrounded by a romantic landscape.
