The former gothic castle from the 14th century, which after reconstruction gained an appearance of a Renaissance chateau of the 17th century. One of the owners was the successor of the Habsburgh′s throne Ferdinand D′este, whose death triggered World War I. The Archduke Ferdinand accumulated fine collections of arms, armours and Meissen porcelain here, all of which are on display in the richly furnished interiors.
